With lots of greens and turmeric, ginger, cinnamon and black pepper this smoothie will help to reduce inflammation and pain naturally. Make double the amount and have one serving in the morning and one serving in the afternoon to spread the positive effect of anti inflammation out over your day. For the greens use any of the following: spinach, kale, silver beet, beet root leaves, carrot greens, lettuce, dandelion leaves, plantain, nettle, parsley, coriander ....)

Ingredients

1/2 Avocado1/2 cup Blueberries, frozen1-2 handfuls of greens1-2 tsp Ginger, freshly grated1 tsp Turmeric powder, or 1-2 cm of fresh root grated1/2 tsp Cinnamon (Ceylon or superior cinnamon, not cassia if possible)1 pinch Pepper, black, freshly ground200 ml water, more or lessOptional1-3 tsp Maca root powder, start with 1 tsp and increase slowly1/3 Banana or a few drops of Stevia to sweeten1 tbsp Chia seeds, soaked1 Lemon, juice and use juice to taste

Directions

Add all ingredients to your blender and blend on high for 30-90 seconds, depending on the power of your blender. Enjoy! Will keep in fridge for up to 8 hours.
